A bold reupholstery of vintage tub chairs featuring Union Jack backs, deep blue velvet, and polished woodwork — finished with silver stud detailing.

This pair of vintage tub chairs received a full restoration, combining patriotic flair with luxurious texture.

The process began by stripping each chair back to bare wood, followed by a careful wax polish to revive the rich grain and natural sheen of the timber. For the upholstery, we went bold: the chair backs were covered in Union Jack flag fabric sourced online, while the sides and seat were wrapped in a stunning deep blue velvet from Cristina Marrone Fabrics. To complete the look, we added silver decorative studs that give the chairs a crisp, tailored finish.

The result? A striking pair of chairs that mix traditional craftsmanship with a modern, British twist — now proudly delivered to their new home.
